The Book of Ruth ends with a twist. Boaz is the kinsmen redeemer, and the family that had lost so much is blessed with a son. But this son will be the grandfather of King David (and in the line that leads to Jesus). Through all of the tragedy in Ruth, we see that God was always at work in the lives of his people.
