People were ready to hand the reigns over to Braxton Miller. “Bauserman is terrible,” some argued, “Let’s get this new star quarterback under center.” In Bauserman’s first start as quarterback since he was a high school student in 2003, the former minor league baseball player looked solid in the Buckeye’s season opener.
I read an interesting piece on the CNN Belief Blog today about Atheism and Alcoholic’s Anonymous written by Marya Hornbacher. She does give the AA program credit for helping her attain sobriety, but she also sites that the way in which religious principles influence the organization:

Last week, Jillette’s new book “God, No. Signs you may already be an atheist and other magical tales” was released. I am a big fan of Mr. Jillette and was interested to see his new book.
Note: this post discusses what I see as a logical paradox in the current debate about abortion as a means of gender selection. Pro-choice advocates who are of a utilitarian persuasion may disagree. This is more aimed towards pro choice libertarians. Full disclosure: I am personally pro life.
